An Ask-Me-Anything (AMA) with CSO of PayPal David Murray: What Every Security Leader Needs to Know in 2026

-

Our chapter recently gathered at Amazon Lab126, who generously opened their space to bring together members of the ASIS San Francisco Bay Area security community.

The centerpiece of the afternoon was a candid AMA with David Murray, Chief Security Officer at PayPal. David spoke to leading global security strategy at scale and fielded live questions from practitioners in the room — the kind of practical, real-world dialogue that continues to define what makes this chapter valuable.

Beyond the formal session, the event was a chance to reconnect sharing where the chapter is headed, highlighting the resources available through ASIS, and talking openly about how our programming can keep evolving to meet members where they are.

Thank You

Thank you to Amazon Lab126 for hosting, to David Murray for his time and candor, and to everyone who stayed after to introduce themselves, share ideas, and ask how they could get involved. We're building on this momentum.
