Advancing ASIS International’s Public–Private Partnership (P3) Mission in the San Francisco Bay Area
The ASIS International San Francisco Bay Area Chapter P3 (Public–Private Partnership) Community aligns directly with ASIS International’s global commitment to strengthening collaboration between public-sector agencies, private-sector organizations, and nonprofit partners to enhance safety, security, and resilience.
Rooted in ASIS’s long-standing leadership in P3 engagement, the SF Bay Area P3 Community provides a trusted, professional forum where diverse stakeholders come together to share information, build relationships, and address complex security challenges facing our region.
What Is the P3 Community?
The P3 Community is a chapter-based initiative designed to operationalize ASIS International’s P3 principles at the regional level. It brings together professionals across sectors to exchange insights, discuss emerging risks, and explore coordinated approaches to prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery.
Rather than operating in silos, the community emphasizes collaboration, professionalism, and trust as foundational elements of effective security.
Who Participates
Consistent with ASIS International’s inclusive P3 framework, the community welcomes participation from:
Public Sector: Law enforcement, emergency management, transportation authorities, regulatory agencies, and other government partners responsible for public safety and critical infrastructure protection.
Private Sector: Corporate security, risk management, business continuity, resilience, and technology professionals responsible for protecting people, assets, and operations.
Nonprofit & Community Organizations: Organizations focused on community safety, preparedness, and resilience, providing valuable local context and outreach capabilities.
What We Do
In support of ASIS International’s P3 objectives, the SF Bay Area P3 Community focuses on:
Information Sharing: Facilitating trusted exchanges related to emerging threats, regional trends, and lessons learned.
Education & Programming: Delivering briefings, panels, and discussions led by subject matter experts across sectors.
Relationship Building: Strengthening professional networks that enable coordination and cooperation during critical incidents.
Regional Resilience: Promoting a whole-community approach to preparedness, response, and recovery throughout the Bay Area.
Professional Recognition: Annual awards banquet to recognize those in safety / security who serve to protect us and our communities on a daily basis.
